Thank you so much for this suggestion! I manage to fix my main issues. Give your Sims a pet The Sims 3: Pets is an expansion pack for The Sims 3 that allows your Sims have and interact with pets. After i done this, i could finally install these dlls properly and my game is now opening again, and the new expansion seems to be working. The Sims 4 is about to get a whole lot more pet-friendly. (Tools > 'Update Wrapper' and also 'Change Engine Used').
